Defeating The Ender Dragon: Tips and Tricks

The Ender Dragon is the equivalent of the ‘boss fight’ or ‘big baddie’ in Minecraft. It is the hardest mob you will ever face. The dragon is found in the End. It resembles and Enderman, with its body being entirely black, except for its eyes, which are purple. When (or if) you defeat it, it will explode and the exit portal will appear at the site of its death, along with the Ender Dragon Egg on top. If you die while you are fighting the dragon, you will spawn at your regular spawn point.

If you want End Stone, and that’s it, go to the end, do the command ” /gamerule keepInventory true “, get some End Stone, then kill yourself. You will spawn at your last spawn point. (Hee Hee Hee)

An efficient way to defeat the dragon is to craft a bow, then put the ‘Infinity’ enchantment on it. Be sure you have one arrow and some armor also. When you get to the End, make sure you knock out the Ender Crystals with your bow. There are twelve of these, which are spawned on top of obsidian pillars. They regenerate the Ender Dragon’s health. Then, just shoot the Dragon with your bow. This will be time consuming (It would help to get a ‘Power’ or ‘Unbreaking’ enchantment on the bow as well).

Pro Tip: Don’t look at the Endermen. But, I guess you knew that already.

When and if you kill the Ender Dragon and go through the portal, the ‘End Poem’ and the credits will play. The ‘End Poem’ is pretty long, so if you don’t have much time, or if you think it’s boring, press ‘esc’ (escape) to skip the poem and credits and go straight back to the gameplay.

How To Knit Hand Warmers

20130817-020101.jpg

20130817-020134.jpg

These hand warmers are cute accessories and you can make them any color or design!!

You will need:

-Yarn
-Knitting Needles (I used number 8’s)
-Needle (yarn or regular)
-Thread (if you use a regular needle)

(Make two of these to have two hand warmers (: )

Step 1:Cast on. I did 25 stitches, but measure from below your pointer finger’s knuckle to around 2 inches below your wrist.

20130817-034746.jpg

Step 2: Knit until your cloth is long enough to wrap around your wrist. It was 59 rows for me. Then, cast off.

Step 3: Take a needle and thread/yarn, and sew up the hand warmer(s), leaving a hole for the thumb.

Then, you’re done! I was surprised at how easy these were. You could ’embroider’ designs on them to make them even better!!!

Wiring Tips — Spirals and Hearts

DSCF4921When you make something, like jewelry, with wire, it’s good to know basic techniques.

To make a spiral:

You will need:

-Wire

-Pliers

-Wire cutters

Take the pliers and make a loop with the wire.ย Then, squash the loop to make it smaller. Take the loop between the pliers and spiral. Do this until you have a big enough spiral. Cut off the excess wire.

To make the heart:

You will need:

-Wire

-2 Pairs of pliers

-Wire cutters

Take the wire, and about an inch from one end. bend the wire so it looks about like a paper clip edge.DSCF4918 Repeat with the same end 3 times so it looks a bit like the letter ‘M’.

Step 3

Then, take both edges and twist them together, creating a heart shape.DSCF4921

Cut off the extra wire.
